February 22, 23:
Essential Question: What language best focuses a teacher’s reflection on their practice?
Members will be asked to bring sample evaluations/observation notes. We will use a consultancy protocol to provide feedback for these documents.
March 29, 30:
Essential Question: What verbal and written feedback from an administrator best supports teacher professional improvement?
Members will be asked to bring a video of a post-observation conference with the observation notes the conference was based on. Again, we will use a consultancy protocol to provide feedback for the post-conference.
April 26, 27:
Essential Question: What conversations and documentation are necessary to both support and hold teachers accountable for instructional improvement?
Members will be asked to bring materials they have used (written documentation of conversations, and follow-up correspondence) with marginal teachers. The focus will be on steps necessary to move toward teacher improvement or Programs of Assistance.
May 4:
Essential Question: What evidence is available through the walkthrough process to better inform administrators about teaching and learning?
Possibly use the Acknowledgment Protocol in an activity to celebrate the work done this year in the cohorts.
